Who we are
Our
History
The Rotary Club of Blouberg has a storied history in Cape Town that began in the mid-1980s. Founded by a group of enthusiastic individuals, including our first President Allan Fraser and Vice-President Jannie Bester, the club quickly established itself as a beacon of community service and fellowship. Our inaugural Charter Banquet was a grand affair, setting the stage for a tradition of excellence and dedication to service above self.

This innovative board has spearheaded the development of the club’s new website, designed to enhance accessibility and engagement for members and the community alike. Through the website, the Rotary Club of Blouberg now provides a seamless platform for showcasing its history, projects, events, and progress in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). This digital transformation underscores the board’s commitment to innovation and its dedication to leveraging technology to expand the reach and impact of Rotary’s mission in the local community and beyond.

The Four Way Test
Is it the
TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all
concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
And Blouberg’s own Addition:
Will it NOT be HARMFUL to the ENVIRONMENT?
