In parallel to the environmentally conscious steps with the beach clean-ups, Blouberg Rotary collected plastics from bottle tops, containers and bread tags to raise funds for a wheelchair. This wheelchair has gone to a gentleman in our community who needed it desperately. More than 450kg of plastic  bottle tops and some additional funds were raised to pay for the wheelchair. This project was spearheaded by our honorary member, Judy Parr who sadly passed away soon after completing this memorable project, RIP Judy.
