Together with Bayside Mall we ran the Mile for Madiba project from July 1 to July 18. During this period we provide a red carpet with clothing rails where the public could hand its used quality clothing items. By Mandela Day the rails were full and many bags were also filled with all the clothing donations. On July 18 teams from Blouberg Rotary and Bayside mall sold the clothes to the community for small nominal fees (R5, R10, R20) at a creche for disabled children in Du Noon. With a fantastic turnout and Thousands of smiles and happy faces this project more than deserves a repeat in 2027.
