For the 3rd year in a row the Rotary Club of Blouberg in South Africa is hosting a virtual balloon race as an exciting and international fundraiser. This year the balloons will be released from the clubhouse at the Milnerton Aquatic club on November 1 at 13:00 sharp. A large crowd is expected again to wish the Thousands of individually sponsored and named balloons safe travels all the way to India’s Taj Mahal.
Friends, family, colleagues and other Rotarians can all join this virtual fundraiser for only R100 (GBP4 / $5.50) by ordering a balloon on the event website below and and keep tabs on the progress and position of their balloons from their mobile phones.
And yes, there are exciting prizes to be won as well!
There is R5 000 for the winner, R2 500 for second and R1 250 for third place so it’s well worth winning.

To take part in this fundraiser all you need to do is to visit https://balloonrace.net/rcob where you can quickly and easily buy 1 or more balloons, add your name, pick your colour, add a message and off you go!
Below you can see in a few simple steps how to buy your balloons:

Step 3: If you are buying more than one balloon, click “Register another balloon” at the top. This will take you back to the previous page. Your name and e-mail address will be retained and all you need to do is choose a new style, colour and name for your new balloon. Do this for every balloon you want to purchase.
If you are only buying one balloon, or you have chosen the details of all the balloons you want to enter, click <GOOGLE PAY> or <PAY WITH CARD>

Step 4: The balloon(s) purchased will be listed. Enter your 16-digit debit or credit card number, the expiry date (MM/YY) and the three-digit card verification code on the back of your card. The post code, if requested, can be e.g. 7441 for Milnerton/Table View. Click <PAY NOW>.

Step 5: That’s it! You will be e-mailed a receipt and then just wait until 1 November to see the balloons go up in flight > go back to https://balloonrace.net/rcob and click the button <SEE TE BALLOONS IN FLIGHT>.
Happy ballooning and thank you all for your contributions.
Warm regards,
